They are the next best thing in comparison to the ad swaps. But prior to beginning with ad swaps, you'll probably find it's less complicated to create your list first with a few solo ads.
Let's start out with the fundamentals of what a solo ad is first and foremost. A solo ad is an email mailed to the whole list made up of only your offer (and is composed by you from start to finish). It isn't an ad enclosed with an email and it doesn't even need to be seen like an offer. With a solo ad you've approached a list holder and they've decided to permit you to email their list.
Exactly why is this a whole lot more effective than other forms of e-mail promoting?
Simply because you manage the procedure from beginning to end. You're not challenging for the reader's curiosity with other ads included in the email. And in all honesty, when you check out your own inbox and look at some of the e-mail lists you've subscribed to - which promotions do you normally act in response to?
Because it's your responsibility to structure a catchy subject line that results in a high open rate (that's the quantity of people really opening your email to read the material).
What are some pointers for performing effective solo ads?
Probably the most successful technique for solo ads is to get started with a potent subject line. I've observed the following forms of subject lines have superb open rates - (you'll recognize none of them are salesy and most of them are very conversational in manner).
*Controversial Subjects that contain words like "Warning", "Caution", "Scam', "Alert" *ex. "CAUTION: This email is ridiculous" *Preposterous appearing subject lines such as: *WTF did he do now?? *stupid YouTube video I can't stop watching *Subject lines with numbers in them *5 tips for growing your list *3 traffic resources that are better than google
Once you've got a good subject line - you can shift gears entirely to talk about your offer.
The ideal way to view building a list is as a future investment. So focus on small promotions to entice people. By doing this individuals will opt into your opt-in list. This is a superb way of getting lots more people on your list so you can build relationships with them.
