It's really pretty simple. First you have to decide the main point you are going to make, or your thesis statement as they called it back in school. You might write "I want to show you how to get paid for writing online."

But first you write your introduction. Use something catchy so people will pay attention. Provide an anecdote or quote or mention a song title. These techniques make people pay attention.

Don't tell your readers what a wonderful, experienced writer you are if you're writing an article like this one. After an interesting but brief introduction, get to the point. Say: "Here's the roadmap for you to get paid to write online."

Come up with at least three main points you want to make in the body of your article. The average number of points is about five, and don't use more than seven.
