Everything from eBooks, software, videos and graphics packages are available from various sources on every subject imaginable. Depending on the specific set of rights you acquire you can sell the product, its resell rights or even permission to edit that content anyway you see fit.
First, you should understand what you are buying and what you are allowed to do with it. There are three basic kinds of resell rights: resell, master resell and private label. Each presents you an increasing level of control over how you can sell a product and even the content of the product.
At there most basic resell rights allow you to do exactly what it seems they should do, sell the product to other people. This means you provide a product to an end user who will use it for themselves. A simple analogy is owning a store. You have an eBook, tutorial video, or software package and you sell it to a single person or business for their use.
Beyond basic resell are master resell rights. This gives you not only the right to sell the content, but also to sell the resell rights to that content. Whoever buys your product can use it themselves or turn around and sell it to somebody else, much in the same way you are doing. This is akin to owning a warehouse, but since all of the product is digital, and housed somewhere else you neither need to deal with huge inventory or expensive servers.
Private label rights allow you complete control. You can claim yourself as the author, claim your company as the creator or customize the content to better fit your target consumer. Private label rights often include master resell rights as well, but not always. Always make sure you understand the restrictions of your private label agreement.
Many of these products and packages also come with ready to operate websites attached. This often includes sales copy, download links and graphics packages to give you the maximum resources possible with the smallest effort and risk. A turnkey website requires little setup time and maintenance and should generate passive income as long as it is operational.
The wealth of content with resell rights available gives you many options. There are specialty website packages, internet website software bundles and guru eBooks available for a deep well of topics. A common subject is internet business itself allowing you to benefit from your own merchandise as well as selling a product that increases the profitability of those who buy from you. The better you sell, the better your customers sell and the more they buy from you.
It is often said that the art of good business is being a good middle man, and dealing with resell rights properties is a quick and easy way to set yourself up as a middle man. You needn't create your own product, or even struggle to find a target audience. Most of your audience will be people just like you who want to make money on the internet, but need a product or have little technical knowledge. Think about the things you would buy and there are great numbers of people out there who will buy just that from you, and great numbers of people have already created the resources.
