It's August of 2011 and I have just come back to Brisbane in Australia. I noticed 2 things instantly while driving back from the airport. The once green country side had turned dry and stark. It had not rained for months and Mother Nature had moved the rain clouds away from the Sun State as Queensland is known to be.

It's August of 2011 and I have just come back to Brisbane in Australia. I noticed 2 things instantly while driving back from the airport. The once green country side had turned dry and stark. It had not rained for months and Mother Nature had moved the rain clouds away from the Sun State as Queensland is known to be.

But what was more alarming was the fact I saw the clouds of despair over folk now in Brisbane. I just heard that Qantas, Australia's state flight carrier had plans of laying off a 1000 folks nationally over Australia. I also noticed the once prospering small company sector was suffering with the "GFC" that began in 2009. The Global Financial Emergency has left a trail of finance trouble, topped up by the flood disaster seen in Brisbane in January 2011 having left the whole city struggling. Many small business owners are up against the wall struggling to pay owners rent charges. This money pain was everywhere.

Debt is rising fast with business accounts not being paid in time. These business owners are so obsessed with paying their bills that they are reluctant to take a look at options right now. Families are struggling and not spending as much as they ought to be in their communities. Rising petrol costs and food cost are adding to the financial stress. Money is simply not being moved around.

Is Making Additional Cash So Difficult? The question on plenty of people's minds in Brisbane is how to make additional money while still holding down a regular job or keeping business ticking. They have to do this while trying to keep the banks from fore closing on their properties. The most difficult problem is that they just don't have the energy to look else where in-spite of options open to them.

These options on making extra income are relatively easy though would possibly not be as straightforward. Why is this so?

The explanation being most people either are too fixed in their methods to want to change or feel that they simply don't have the facility to do something outside their speciality. As roles are not in abundance, folks need to be flexible. Most individuals are too comfortable in the so-called comfortable zone to trouble trying to find employment. They rather just complain about the system and blame everybody else than take steps to change their fiscal circumstances.

I actually feel folk would like to change but its the phobia of failure that stops them. It's about losing face if they are seen to be seen as a failure.

But isn't "Failure" part of success or the stepping stone to success.

How else can one move ahead if we don't give opportunity a go. I would like to suggest that everyone should give life a try. Unless you try you will never know if you can win at something. How else could you change you present situation and make extra money to pay down outstanding bills if you do not give yourself the chance to change.
