My biggest incentive for a home business was Lifestyle change. You're probably wondering what's so great about having one? Well, today I woke up at 10 am, brewed coffee at my leisure, made myself a yummy breakfast of all my favorite food groups, and went for a run with my dog before I even thought about checking any business stuff. Pretty typical working Tuesday morning after having Monday to myself. I didn't abuse my alarm clock for 30 minutes, I didn't get coffee all over myself in the car, I didn't miss my train by a few seconds or have my toes stepped on by strangers pushing past me. In fact, the very thought of a stressful daily lifestyle like that makes me want to go for a swim in the pool behind my office. That's right. I can do that.

Why it's great to have a home based business

I chose to have a business from home instead of being stressed out with my job. No longer am I bothered by annoying coworkers or bosses that somehow got to the top level without any specific knowledge about their industry. My schedule is my choice and I choose my own clients - What I do is under my control.

Granted, I am not a Mum like many other home business owners I know, but they are lucky because when they wake up in the morning, they can look after their children for as long as it takes before they get to the moneymaking business.

When I worked in a job, I often I spent many hours writing, and then my boss would tear it up because he didn't like the way I wrote. He treated me like a tool, who had to be in a box from 9 to 5. Now that I'm working from home, I get recognition as a specialist in my craft, and I'm respected for my work. I am also trusted to produce good work for any project I receive. It's much more simple.

Whether you're a network marketer, a home care specialist, a franchisor, or a freelance writer, you are a specialist in your field when you have your own business. Whatever you do, you have the final say.

You Will Make more than an hourly wage

How many hours do you spend on your job that you aren't receiving income for? Do you check your mobile device when you come home, to see what's happening at your job? Do you stay late to do work that other people should've done during the day? When you operate your own business at home you are paid for your talents and you can leverage your time to make a lot more than an hourly wage. You don't need to live by the clock. Plus, you will earn a lot more hourly, earn what you're worth and determine what that means for you.

It's great to spend more time with your children. Can you weigh the value of being at home more with your children in numbers? Well, in a way, if you're earning money while you're at home with them, you can!

I'm not just talking about quality time with them - being there when they go to school, being there when they return. There are also the benefits of being available should an emergency or special event arise. You can finally make time to help your children with their homework, contribute to the cake sale, go to parent-teacher conferences and all those other opportunities you might miss being stuck at your nine-to-five.

All in all, there are so many benefits to owning and operating your own home business but it takes serious dedication and hard work, especially in the beginning. It also takes some investment so you can make money.

Of course, it's easier to steer your car when the wheels are moving isn't it? It's the same with your business. Just as it takes energy and petrol to get your car started, it takes money and time to get your business started. But once you get it moving, it's so much easier to drive your business where you're trying to go. You have to be ready to make the investment and take the risks of a home business- otherwise, you might as well have a plain old cookie-cutter job like the rest of them.
