There are quite a few ways to generate free leads and traffic, but I like to concentrate on free methods that people can learn. These skills not only work, but they are also skills that someone can take with them for future projects as they have been around for a while (most of them) and they are still very popular with google and some of the other search engines.
While I like to use article marketing and video promotion for a large portion of my overall marketing strategies, many people are utilizing social media sites like facebook and twitter. Right now facebook is very hot and the good thing about this is that many people that are online learning to market their programs or themselves, already have a facebook account and are familiar with it.
Although you can already tell that there is a lot of information out there that can help you easily generate free leads or free traffic, you may also be aware of how this could seem overwhelming for some. This article will focus on article marketing and following articles will cover other methods. Combined these strategies will generate more than just traffic and leads, but will give you a sense of accomplishment and confidence in your ability to successfully market your programs and products online.
First of all, I always hear the same thing, "I don't know how to write an article," or "I'm not very good at writing." The good news here is that you aren't going to have to learn how to write or become an award winning author. If you currently struggle with writing, realize that you are in good hands. Simply go to your favorite search engine, type in the keyword or key phrase with the word articles behind it and you should be able to get quite a few articles from different directories. Copy an article you like and paste it into a notepad file. Open another, new notepad file next to the article and rewrite the article paragraph by paragraph in your own words. Viola! When you are re-writing the article, one of the most important things you need to do is make sure that your use of keywords or key phrases is done correctly. Typically, you will want to make sure that your keywords are 2% to 3% of the make-up of your article. Some say to 2% to 5%, but my experience is that 3% is pretty much the optimal target in terms of keyword density.
When submitting this article, most article directories are going to provide an author's resource box. You will be able to put links back to your blog post or site in this box. I would put two links back to your program or site in this box or maybe you will want to put a link back to your blog or website and another link back to your program's capture page. If you have produced a video, this is where you would put a link back to your website.
Learning to generate targeted traffic and generate free leads is not as difficult as one would think. Utilizing article marketing and being consistent is the key and while this may seem labor intensive, the results can be phenomenal and you will be able to generate free leads over and over without paying for them.
