You've probably learned by now that family and friends usually don't make very good prospects. However, you still need leads for your business. To assist you in that area, These are the essential elements of good advertising.
1. Advertising is more about message than delivery. If hundreds of people saw your adds on a daily basis it wouldn't matter unless your message was good. Hyped up adds like you'll make 5,000 in five days!!! don't attract leads, they repel them. Give prospects one or two attainable goals then help them achieve those goals.
2. Discover who wants what you have, then market to them. No matter how good your advertising is, you can't sell steaks to a vegetarian. Offer your leads something they already want and they are much more likely to respond. I look for people who are already interested in MLM. Trying to recruit anyone else is ten times the work and half the reward.
3. Good advertising has stand-alone value. Master advertisers know that if they can make people want to read their sales material, they get much better results. The easiest way to make people want to read your advertising is to offer information that they need. If you do this, people will want to read your sales material meaning you get more leads.
4. Demonstrate you have the expertise needed to succeed. Given the choice between joining an MLM beneath a top incomer earner or a new distributor, who would you pick? Your leads think the same way: they want someone who will teach them to succeed. You must be able to do that. There are many great (and free) MLM training series that will give you an excellent place to start.
5. Use online Advertising. Think about the number of people who use the internet every day. Now imagine how many of them want to succeed in MLM. The sheer number of leads you could reach through Internet Marketing is astounding. You can't get everyone, but even tapping a tiny fraction of them can supply you with a steady stream of leads for your business.
That's it for the basics, but 4 and 5 are the ones that will really give you trouble. They both take significant effort to learn and master, but its worth it. You'll need to get training from an expert unless you want to waste massive amounts of time and money on trial-and-error. The Good news: many experts offer free MLM training. If you look around the internet you should be able to find some of them.
