Have you ever been in a tough situation and thought ... I'm just not sure I can do this anymore?!?!

Have you ever been in a tough situation and thought ... I'm just not sure I can do this anymore?!?!

You feel so weak and depleted and you wonder where your energy and enthusiasm went. It feels easier if you just stopped and settled for the life you have right now!

Yep, I've been there too. Like any normal person we all have challenges in our life.

1) This past year I have had to readjust to being a single Mum with a baby and a toddler supporting the kids on my own.

2) Plus my daughter went to hospital due to a life threatening medical condition.

3) And ... of course amongst all this I'm building my business online. This only works when I treat it like a business and not some hobby/money making project on the side.

But, even when I thought I couldn't quite cope, there was something that kept me moving forward. Where does that strength come from?

And .. on a particularly tough day I came across a list. This wasn't just any list, but an inspiring LIST of one man's life. This simple list reveals the strength of the human spirit and shows how out of the pressures of losses and defeat we are able to learn and grow.

YEAR: 1831 - He Failed in a Business YEAR: 1832 - He was Defeated for Legislature YEAR: 1833 - He Failed in another Business YEAR: 1834 - He was Elected to Legislature YEAR: 1835 - His Sweetheart Died YEAR: 1836 - He had a Nervous Breakdown YEAR: 1838 - He was Defeated for Speaker YEAR: 1843 - He was Defeated for Land Officer YEAR: 1843 - He was Defeated for Congress YEAR: 1846 - He was Elected to Congress YEAR: 1848 - He was Defeated for Re-Election YEAR: 1855 - He was Defeated for Senate YEAR: 1856 - He was Defeated for Vice President YEAR: 1858 - He was Defeated for Senate YEAR: 1860 - He was Elected US President

Who am I talking about? ... Abraham Lincoln

WOW! Look at that list again! I'm not sure I could have done that, but the more I read it, the more the fire in my heart burns brighter and makes me want to keep focused on my passions, not to deviate and just become part of someone Else's dreams - But CREATE MY OWN!

Just think about a time when you have been really passionate and succeeded at something - no matter how small. There was probably some failure along the way - and that could have been the catalyst that propelled you forward to success. Just remember DIAMONDS are created by immense PRESSURE ... so in challenging times think of yourself as the DIAMOND!

So, for the answer to the question: "How Many Times Can You Pick Yourself Up?" My answer is ... "As Many Times As It Takes To Reach My Dreams!"

- You?
