Business Opportunities - Blogging for Targeted Traffic

One of the best business opportunities for targeted traffic comes by writing a blog. Search engines find a well written blog in the same way a cat loves tune. It just loves them.  The reason for this stems from the fact that these web crawlers are constantly on the look out for new content. They are looking to get excellent quality material indexed as fast as they can.  You are definitely not doing your business any favours if you do not have a blog in your traffic generating armoury.  The main thing to remember when using a blog is to constantly add fresh posts on a regular basis to make the most of this strategy.

The biggest mistake people make is to let weeks or sometimes even months go by without updating the content on their blog. If you are not updating it regularly, it will not be considered "juicy" to the search engines, what I mean by that is that it will be looked at as a "dead" blog and it will not get checked very often.

One way of increasing visitors to your blog would be to visit those of a similar niche to yours and leave some positive feed back.  Their visitors may see your feedback and visit your site through the link that you leave.

Use the internet to search out some blogs that are in your niche.  Make some comments on these but also see what they are writing about.  It can keep you up to date with things and also give you some ideas for your own posts.  Make sure that the writing is not just pasted from another site and that you have personally written it as the search engines do not like duplicate material.

A good place to find other blogs to comment on and read are blog directories.  You can leave links to your own blog and get some important backlinks to your site.

It is sensible to invest in some good statistic software so that you can see where your visitors are coming from.  This will allow you to focus your advertising and marketing in the areas that are the most productive.  It will also let you see if your site is being bookmarked. This means that the visitor is likely to visit again and shows that you must be doing something right.

These are some easy to follow guidelines but just remember to make the posts that you write of interest to you audience.  Try to get them to leave comments and get a two way, three way or more way conversation going with them.  The more interesting the posts, the more likely this will happen. When this happens, you have targeted traffic taking in your business opportunities consistently.
